MALIBU COUNTRY'S MUSIC

Reba's brand new sitcom Malibu Country is getting ready to premiere on ABC the night after the CMA Awards on November 2. With actress Lily Thomlin playing her mother, the show centers around Reba's character as a country singer who moved to LA after leaving her cheating husband.

Reba talked to Entertainment Tonight about having a good amount of music in the show:

"We hope a lot because that's what the fans are really asking for. They're really excited about me playing a country singer and being divorced from my husband who is still a country singer and I'm still working on reviving my career getting it back and going. So, I do write a lot of the songs in the show I'm working on em and having a lot of meetings jump starting our career again... So, yeah we've already got two songs in the pilot and the first episode, so we're ready to go with the music." -Reba

Reba has also talked to some of her country music friends about making guest appearances on the show:

"I've already talked to Blake (Shelton) and Kelly (Clarkson) and they said yes that they would appear, so we just got to get the script right when we need 'em in here and it's got to be honest. Everything about this show's got to be honest. This would really happen." - Reba
