REBA AND THE CMAs - NOVEMBER 1, 2012
The 46th Annual Country
Music Association Awards are airing tonight on ABC at 7pm. Fans and
artists alike enjoy the awards tonight, and artists like Reba are no exception.
Reba will be appearing on the 46th Annual CMA Awards tonight just one night before her new ABC sitcom Malibu Country premieres. Hanging out at CMA rehearsals this week, Reba shared why she loves award shows so much and what it's about for her:
Reba will be appearing on the 46th Annual CMA Awards tonight just one night before her new ABC sitcom Malibu Country premieres. Hanging out at CMA rehearsals this week, Reba shared why she loves award shows so much and what it's about for her:
(Reba) "Oh it's
about family reunion, I mean, I know everybody here, meeting the new artists
meeting some of the new artists. That's the best part about an award show you
do get to meet the new artists that you hadn't seen before, you've heard them
on the radio, you've seen their new videos and so to meet 'em in person is
really neat. And to give 'em encouragement and say, 'Welcome to the family.'"
Jason Aldean is nominated
in the Entertainer of the Year category at tonight's CMA Awards in Nashville,
while he would love to get any CMA nod, he's shooting for the big honor
tonight:
(Jason Aldean) "Entertainer
of the Year to me I mean, I've never, you know there's never been any question
that that's one on my bucket list that I want. I mean I'm not gonna sit here
and lie to ya if there's one that could ever get my… I would trade all the rest
of them in for that one. That one and so yeah, that one means probably more to
me than any of 'em but I'm also if they give me one of the other ones I'll take
that one too I'm just saying."
For Faith Hill, tonight's
CMA Awards is like a comeback of sorts as she performs her brand new single
"American Heart." At rehearsals earlier this week, Faith admitted
that she will be a bit nervous to step on the CMA stage tonight:
(Faith Hill) "I do get nervous but you know I try and put it in a great spot. I think that only comes with experience 'cause I used to get so nervous I couldn't even… I didn't know what to do with my nerves. The biggest thing for me honestly I love this song and it's just fun to be able to play it with my band. I don't get to play with them much anymore 'cause I don't tour so it's just a like a party, It'll be a party Thursday night."
