AUGUST 17, 2012 -
We got into a conversation yesterday regarding the explosion that destroyed my high school in the late 1930s...they did not believe my story that the rotten eggs aroma was added to natural gas due to this horrific tragedy. When you spend your whole life hearing the story, you believe...but there is documented proof of the accident and the history of New London, Texas--and what is now my alma mater West Rusk High School. I am a proud student of this public school system, and proud that my children have a great Missouri school like Cape Central High School to attend!
